SHAPE DETECTIVE
Go on a treasure hunt for items that look like a circle (the first shape most kids recognize). When you're at the grocery store, point out oranges, apples, and tortillas. At home you might spy a ball, a button, or a clock. Repeat the process another day using squares, triangles, or rectangles. This math game kid's activity was found in the October 2010 Parents magazine.
