FRIDAY LUNCHEON

Today, I enjoyed a fun luncheon with a girl friend.
We had a delicious pasta entree at Sam's in
Cedar Hill followed by shopping at a
wonderful quilt store called Corner Square Quilts.

CHRISTMAS IS DOWN FOR THE YEAR

Well, it is official. I have all the Christmas decorations properly stored away for the year! I only put 2 items in the Good Will bin. Guess I did a good job last year of downsizing and keeping only the items I wanted forever.

Tip: I stored everything in clear 56 gallon bins with red lids. I placed 2 large computer generated signs inside each bin to indicate which room the decorations belong to.

NOT ENOUGH TIME IN THE DAY!

I know everyone sometimes feels like they aren't making a dent in their "to-do" lists. I don't feel overwhelmed, but am starting to wonder when I will finish storing the last remnants of Christmas. This coming week I will get it done!

GIRL SCOUT COOKIES ARE HERE!

The granddaughters picked up their Girl Scout cookies today and immediately started selling in the neighborhood. This is their first year as Girl Scouts and are so excited to be part of this endeavor. Way to go, girls!

TAKING DOWN THE OUTSIDE CHRISTMAS LIGHTS & DECORATIONS

I love Christmas lights and outside decorations. Since we are "old" our Christmas lights are at ground level. When we built this house we installed eave outlets specifically for the roof line lights. Maybe when our 5 year old grandson gets old enough, he can do the roof line in clear icicle lights! Watch out Davis, Mimi is planning on it!

POST CHRISTMAS 2014

I love Christmas time with the decorations and memories that go with the season. Today I started taking down the big Christmas tree in the living room which is mainly decorated with religious-oriented ornaments. After all, Christ is the reason for Christmas!
