Finally, Thursday, July 11th arrived! I am anxious to find out Dr. Pippen's assessment of the Oncotype DX test and his treatment plan. According to Dr. Pippen, I made medical history with him by receiving a 0% assessment on the test. He prescribed no chemotherapy. I will have lots of checkups, a DEXA scan bone density test for a baseline, and take estrogen blockers for a minimum of five years. He also asked me to take 1200 mg of calcium, 800 IU vitamin D, and a multivitamin daily.
I must admit I cried lots of happy tears.
God does work miracles and he has blessed me!
That is always the most joyful news. Like having a heavy weight taken from your shoulders. :)
ReplyDeleteWhen my husband finished his radiation treatments it was such a relief, and when his doctor confirmed that his cancer was gone, it was cause for celebration. :)
Definitely!
